What is Foursquare and the way Do I take advantage of It?

New York four-size mobile startup is one among the most popular Internet companies around. But what's it? what's it for?
How does one get started?

Foursquare is largely letting your friends know where you're and looking for where they're. Second, it's designed to gather points, prize "badges," and eventually, coupons, by doing all of your daily business. And it depends on the recognition. Foursquare now has about 275,000 users in but a year.

As a business, it's not done much within the way of constructing money yet, but some strategies for doing so will focus. Promotional deals for normal customers have begun to seem within the service. Founder and CEO Dennis Crowley tells us that Foursquare are going to be trying different approaches within the coming months.

What is Foursquare and the way Does It Work?
Foursquare could be a social networking service available on common smartphones, including phones running the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.

the aim of the app is to assist you discover and share information about businesses and attractions around you. anytime you employ it, you share your social information together with your friends. Connecting With Friends

Once you've added friends to your Foursquare account, the app will allow you to know what your friends do and the other way around. Admission To maximize the advantages of Foursquare, "enter" whenever you visit a business or attraction in your area or destination. after you tap "Sign In," the app will drag an inventory of nearby locations.

If you are doing not see your location, add it to the list. Once "logged in," Foursquare will update your status. Friends using Foursquare will know where you're and after you arrived. Discovering the Attraction Use Foursquare to seek out local attractions if you do not settle on where you wish to buy, eat or explore.

Tap "Explore" and use categories to seek out exactly what you wish, or use keyboard search. If you discover an area you would like to go to but haven't got the time yet, add it to your "To-do" list within the app to recollect to go to later. Leaving updates Once you have got visited the positioning, leave a review about it.

Your friends and other guests may read it to work out if going there's worth their time. Similarly, you'll read other people's reviews to search out out if places you're unacquainted with should use it slow to go to. Badges and Mayors Foursquare has many "unlocked" features after you make the foremost of the app. You get "badges" by visiting certain varieties of places or by revisiting. for instance, you get "I'm on a Boat!" badge once you board a ship. If you're an everyday visitor to Foursquare somewhere, you become a "Mayor." Some businesses offer profits to their mayors to reward their loyalty.

The top 5 reasons why people use four sides
Foursquare continues to grow with registered users and daily entries, or the area-based services industry is becoming increasingly crowded. There is an extra target the insertion that Foursquare is also the norm. If the expansion of Foursquare continues, and it emerges from the primary crowd of adoption to a number one audience, it'll be because it offers a large range of uses.

we've to ask the broader question of "What use can Foursquare offer the typical person?" whether or not you look beyond entry, Foursquare actually has great features without logging in.

1. PLAYING the sport

This is the hook for several who first discovered Foursquare, a game designed for service. You enter and add points, compete for mayors, and claim badges. this can be not a long-term, consistent thing for several users. However, the competition and also the changing world of mayorship and badges bring a “New” layer to the service, a constantly changing system of rewards that users can constitute and dislike for users because it evolves.

2. FIND FRIENDS

Login adds data to a community map. When you come in you tell your friends "I'm here, you know, if that touches you." When you look at where your friends are right now, Foursquare becomes a community planning tool that allows you to be a summary of where people you know right now are. Finding a group of friends, the best party in town, or even having lunch with a friend in the same place can be a very useful tool for any user.

3. MAKING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Social networks have fully embraced the status quo update on Twitter. Foursquare includes status updates around the venue and event. From standard approvals such as "Turkish sandwich in Cafe X is quality" to brilliant brogan-esque bridesmaids "I have signed four copies of my letter at the local Border." Just use Foursquare as a refresher tool and add another layer of data that can help the audience. And it makes it easy for a person to add to that context.

4. GETTING SUGGESTIONS
One act of seeing a friend enter a place is often a suggestion. Seeing where your friends are going can be a great discovery too. Foursquare's tips are starting to get a lot of attention, but it's still part of the most powerful and well-known service. Restaurants like AJ Bombers have used tips to push certain products by encouraging their sponsors to leave tips. Leaving a "tip" to tell the world "Hey, there's value here." If you are going to a new city, browsing Foursquare-focused tips can tell you anything from that salon to avoid which restaurant has the best brunch or special hour specials. When someone is careful enough to leave a tip, the value of that suggestion is led by other users.

5. RECORDING HISTORY
Foursquare has a history of everywhere its users have logged. This may be a small amount of use for all resources so far, but it has great potential. Our login history, or "footpath" as the location-based service Whrrl calls it, contains unused value values. As a source of discovering places you have been in the past. Align with other social media activities to add local context to photos we took or a trip we took. Even historical records of events. This app isn't a great driver to use today, but it could be a big part of Foursquare and other location-based services in the future. For two years I counted, I was the kind of smart person who didn't use Facebook.
I didn't block my account because I hate Facebook - I blocked access because I like it so much. I wrote down my news management during the events, read the details of people I knew rather than look around me, and eagerly expected friends to “respond” to my status updates.

When I deleted Facebook from my life, I thought my friends would forget me, knowing that Facebook is very important in our daily lives. However I found my friends at Foursquare Swarm, an app-based social network that lets you "log in" to places and track your movements. And all of a sudden I know more about their lives than ever before - who went to the gym twice a day, who went to club clubs on Wednesday night, who ate at Michelin's star restaurants in London every day.

You could even leave a comment on each other’s signings, and I started making contact with friends I had never met in years - even though I had Facebook. Foursquare was launched in 2009 and reached its peak in 2012, when it started competing with Yelp. Now, there is a series of religious denominations — and much of this follows the fullness of Swarm.
